Dear colleagues,

As a member of the maximum collective leadership of the World Federation of Trade Unions, I send my greetings to the participants of the 18th Festival Of Youth and Students. I salute you on behalf of the 230 trade unions, located in 120 countries of the World, uniting almost 90 million workers at the 5 continents. The majority of those workers are exploited by capitalism, except, of course the countries that build socialism.

Every year we check the progress of the World Federation of Trade Unions in meetings like this one. During these days, such progress has already been checked and mentioned here, and that information will be completed during the rest of our interventions and activities. My responsibility is just to present here some additional information:

RETIRE? Not in your lifetime.

As many as 37% of middle-class Americans expect to work until they’re too sick — or until they drop dead, according to a survey by Wells Fargo.

“It’s really depressing,” Laurie Nordquist, Wells Fargo’s head of institutional retirement and trust, told the Daily News.
