INDIA: PENSION REVION
Central Government of India has appointed a Commission, headed by Justice (Retd.) A K Mathur, to recommend
revision of pay of serving government employees and pension of government pensioners in Inida.
The Commission is mandated to submit its recommendations within 18 months. Pay/Pension will take affect
from 1st January 2016. Three million government pensioners, who receive statutory pension, from the Governmnet
are waiting for the recommendations of the Commission. Normally the Pay/Pension revision takes place
in India once in every ten years. Last revision was from 01-01-2006.
