The Government attacks on the Retired Community did not have the outcome that
Abbott and Morrison wanted. Unfortu-nately, the new Greens Leader took the
wrong turn and supported the Government’s position, and the Retired Communities were
sold out. Even with Media reports by Lead-ers of the three major Organisations, the
Government was not able to have an out-right position until supported by the Greens.

NATIONAL CONVENTION OF CENTRAL GOVT PENSIONERS HELD SUCCESSFULLY AT HYDERABAD
Naional Co- Ordinating Committee of Pensioners Associations successfully organised a historical National Convention at Hyderabad on 31-07-2015. The convention started at 10.30PM at Sundarayya Vingnana Kendram, with Com.D.V.Daktod, Vice President , NCCPAin the chair.Com.M.N.Reddy, General Secretary, All Pensioners and Retired Persons Association and Secretary, Reception Committee welcomed. Com.S..K.Vyas’s portrait was garlanded and rich tributes offered. Com.Pabitra Chakraborty, Secretary General made the introductory speech on the important issues.

On EPS Pension Scheme
After the order of EPFO to stop the payment of minimum pension of Rs.1000 from April 2015, there were countrywide
protest actions. All the central trade unions protested the government’s failure to continue minimum pension. It is also
a fact that all the pensioners were getting the minimum of Rs.1000.

This statement doesn´t come from myself but from George Mavrikos, General Secretary of the WTUF (World Trade Union Federation), and was made in front of myself and in the presence of Carmelo Suarez, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain (PCPE).
At this point, Carmelo expressed his opinion on the same way. In fact, when talking about CCOO, both of them base their conclusions on their respective and long lasting experiences in the struggle against the reformist trade unionism.

In 1982, on 17th December, the Supreme Court of India delivered a landmark classic judgement defining in clear terms that government officials cannot deny statutory pension being benefitted by government pensioners. The five member constitutional bench of Supreme Court of India defined what is pension and how it is regulated as per the constitution of India. The said judgment had its longstanding impact on the pension of millions of pensioners in India.
