Last Wednesday, we retirees generated an important political event that was deliberately ignored by most of the media. Numerous organizations of retired workers, including the Coordinating Board of Retired and Pensioner Organizations, gathered at the Plaza del Congreso to demand the extension of the pension moratorium, among other points. More than a thousand workers, mostly retirees, took over the area around the National Congress on Wednesday, February 19, as they have been doing for 35 years.
