Ideas for the work of the WFTU
Cuba, PC meeting of the WFTU, May 2,017
Comrades.
First of all, thank you on behalf of the WFTU P&Rs, and especially the leadership of our UIS, to have been invited to this important meeting. The WFTU will always be able to count on the contribution of the experience and veteranism of the trade unionists who for decades have been defending trade unionism against the exploiting bourgeoisie and its collaborators, the trade unions which are in league with the bosses.
VERY IMPORTANT ACTION AT GREECE
On Tuesday, April 4, the Pensioners’ Unions of Athens held a massive demonstration against
the new pension cuts, planned by the SYRIZA Government and the EU-IMF-ECB Agreement.
The pensioners’ Unions protested to the Ministry of Labour, where they met with the Deputy
Minister. The Unions denounced the planned cuts and demanded the reinstatement of all the
losses they had in their income the last years.
The Unions called all pensioners to continue the struggle, with next station the
Demonstrations of PAME on April 7
