They are the only two to be selected from State for global meet in Spain

When D. Gopalakrishnan and G. Natarajan, in their late 60s, pack their bags and head off to Spain in a few days, it will have nothing to do with the travel bug materialising awfully late. Rather, the senior citizens will be in Barcelona for a more solemn purpose – to engage in global deliberations on the welfare of pensioners and retirees.

As a member of the maximum collective leadership of the World Federation of Trade Unions, I send my greetings to the participants of the 18th Festival Of Youth and Students. I salute you on behalf of the 230 trade unions, located in 120 countries of the World, uniting almost 90 million workers at the 5 continents. The majority of those workers are exploited by capitalism, except, of course the countries that build socialism.

Every year we check the progress of the World Federation of Trade Unions in meetings like this one. During these days, such progress has already been checked and mentioned here, and that information will be completed during the rest of our interventions and activities. My responsibility is just to present here some additional information:

As many as 37% of middle-class Americans expect to work until they’re too sick — or until they drop dead, according to a survey by Wells Fargo.
