NORTH AMERICA: Special Report on Pensions and Retirees

From time to time, the Pension and Retired WFTU activists from North America that are concentrated around the publication, Labor Today International, will be reporting on the activities of retiree activists. Our editorial collective includes Joseph Hancock, Abdel Honorio García, and Dr. Frank Goldsmith. Hancock is 66 years of age and will be assuming leading responsibilities in the P y J TUI with the valuable assistance of Frank and Abdel.

Comrades.

Thanks to the comrades of our TUI of Pensioners of the WFTU in Colombia, I have had the opportunity to address the people present at an important activity held within the Colombian Congress of Deputies, just the same day that journalists filled this building to know the details of President Petro's decision to dissolve the coalition government.

In the act in which I was able to intervene, there were senior officials of the Government, Parliament, the Judiciary, etc., among them the representative of the vice president, Ms. Africa.

Our TUI is going to intervene for 20 minutes (on April 26 at 10:20 Colombian time) in the INTERNATIONAL FORUM that will be held in the Congress of the Republic.

Our exposition will be the summary of the document, of 32 pages, presented at the 18th Congress of the WFTU (Rome, May 2022).
