Come ogni anno, il 1 ottobre, ricorre la festa dei nonni, vale a dire l'istituzionalizzazione della funzione dell'anziano nel welfare familiare e la sua trasformazione in evento consumistico. Non c'è molto da festeggiare, la FSM da anni contrappone a questa ricorrenza commerciale:
