Russia: WFTU in solidarity with the workers in Russia
03 Sep 2018
RUSSIA
The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its support and solidarity with the workers in the Russian Federation, who are opposing and struggling against the plans of the Government, who intends to raise the retirement age for women and men workers.
Until today, the law of the Soviet Union of 1928 still applies, according to which the maximum retirement age is 55 for women and 60 for men. The Soviet Union was the first state in the world to vote and implement such a law.
Actions are in preparation for October 1st
After the meetings I was able to do in Colombia, thanks to the OCP, I received this:
COMRADE QUIM
UNION WORKING GROUP OF PENSIONERS AND RETIREES OF COLOMBIA "CTUPYJ"
IN THE WORLD DAY OF UIS P&R, CONVEYED A CONCENTRATION BEFORE THE MINISTRY OF LABOR FOR THE OCTOBER 1 AT 9:00 AM.
ONCE THE EVENT HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT, THE REPORT AND THE CORRESPONDING PICTURES WILL BE SENT.
CORDIAL GREETINGS
ANTONIO FORERO MAYORGA
Presidente OCP, Organización Colombiana de Pensionados
Note that we are still waiting for the day FERPA promised for this first semester
MAY 19: very good reception of the flyer on the 1st European day of retirees, initiated by the WFTU (note that we are still waiting for the day FERPA promised for this first semester ...). In Riom, the poster was affixed at the entrance of the House of the People and on the floor CGT. In France, not as many actions as hoped, because of the many actions at this time for the defense of public services. THINK FROM NOW AT THE 3RD WORLD DAY OF FIGHTING THE RETIREES AT THE TIME OF THE WFTU ON OCTOBER 1
